A well-made Tote Bag is a must have and it makes a great gift! A Tote Bag needs to be tough, and great looking with nice features. The interior should be lined for easy wiping. Inside zippered pockets are needed for the smaller baby items. Outside pockets are recommended for any items that you may need at a moments notice (for example: face/hand wipes, kleenex, burp cloth, pacifier) Many Tote Bags have nice well-thought out features, like wide comfortable shoulder straps, and pockets that make it easier so you don't have to go digging around to find the items that always sink to the bottom. One of these great features is a Key Clip. Keys are so hard to find! When you are carrying your baby, a Tote Bag, and possibly a purse or diaper bag, it is often frustrating to fumble around for those keys!
Many Tote Bags can be monogrammed with your babys' name or family initials. This makes it look special and is really helpful for identification.
Many considerations are needed before purchasing a Tote bag. Think about where you are going and how long you will be away from home. It is amazing how fast babies can go through diapers, clothes and blankets. Some mothers tend to pack way too much stuff, especially if this is their first child! I know I did! I wanted to be prepared for anything! As you get more "experienced", you start to figure out exactly what you need and what items can stay home.
